NEWS FLASH: Czech Republic Restores Visa Free Travel For Canadians

Canadian citizens do not require a visa to visit to the Czech Republic. As of May 1, 2004, holders of valid Canadian passports can enter the Czech Republic for visits up to 90 days. Visitors are prohibited from engaging in gainful employment during this time. Passports must be valid for at least three months beyond the planned date of departure from the Czech Republic. For stays of longer than 30 days, please ensure that you register with the local Alien Police authority.

U.S. citizens have to pay more for long-term visas for the stay over 90 days in the Czech Republic as the fees will rise from 1,500 to 2,500 crowns as of June 1, 2003.
