Translation by J. Fuchs - Nohavica: AS LONG AS WE KEEP SINGING, WE AIN'T DEAD
AS LONG AS WE KEEP SINGING, WE AIN'T DEAD

Train after train leaves on the quarterhour from
Tesin town
After one sleepless night - even today I'll not be
crashing down
St. Medard, my patron saint, keeps scratching
his forehead
However, as long as we keep singing, we ain't dead
Some salt sticks and a roll I'm buying at the stand
For love - I have my heart, for songs - I have
my head
The school has taught me well what I should
accomplish yet
However, as long as we keep singing - we ain't dead
My train-ticket collection can surely stand one
more
Seems I just left the station - far is the final
shore
Outside the window life's madly speeding ahead
However, as long as we keep singing - we ain't
dead
Hundred times I have lost, hundred times paid
too much
The rollercoaster screams I think I will not
budge
And even if my body became a vulture's bed
As long as we keep singing - we ain't dead
Train after train - from Tesin town - keep
going everywhere
I just picked up the phone and asked: Is
anyone down there?
I heard from awesome distance - my ears are
ringing yet -
that as long as we keep singing - we ain't dead
